Hi All. I have 2 types of Campaula one is used for edging and the other one is either in an old chimney pot and is/was/still is in the rockery!!
I went to Morrison's today for some mil and came back with 8 pots of Campanula for edging at front.
On closer inspection at home all 8 pots have the same label,Poscharskyana but 6 are different. They look exactly like the Campanula that is hard to get rid of but not really sure.
At guess I would say the Campanula in border which is relatively slow growing and does not take over is Campanula Poscharskyana and the one which is invasive and hard to get rid of is Portenschlagiana???

I am going to take the 6 pots wrongly labeled back to Morrisons for either refund or if they have the non invasive Campanula ,change them.

Any body got any ideas which one is the fast growing invasive called?? ,I am correct in thinking it is the Portenschlagiana??
    Thanks

Garganicas like Birch Hybrid are spreaders but not invasive trogre. I would steer well clear of those you have mentioned. Another Garganica, a little beauty, is Dicksons Gold; yellow evergreen foliage and blue flowers.
The carpatica types are excellent mound formers.....long flowering too.:)
