While walking through a village in Northumberland I saw these front gardens that all had similar planting.

What are the pink ones with yellow in the centre?
What are the tall ones with the yellow flowers?

    Thanks

Pink/yellow are Japanese Anemones and tall yellow are Hollyhocks (possibly a fig leafed variety, but pic is unclear).

Thanks. I do like those Japanese Anemones. Tempted to get some for a couple of borders in my garden (I need something with fairly tall stems). I haven't had much success growing things from seed, so chances are I will see if I can buy a pot or two online. Assuming it should be OK to plant them now since they flower through to October.
