Status Quo - Burning Bridges (acoustic)
I'm actually listening to the album version of this, but I cannae find that on YouTube! :th scifD36: I'm very fond of this album, SQ music does very well in that accoustic, semi-zydeco style.

        Turin Brakes - Feeling Oblivion

Another favourite band of mine. Not even sure why, their sound just "touches" me. I guess that's what it's all about, aye? They're touring Europe this spring to promote their latest album, and I managed to snag a ticket to see them when they pass through Edinburgh on their only Scotland stop. Less than 2 weeks to go, can't wait! :hapfeet:

@longk your The Killing theme reminded me of this dead funny spoof on The Bridge theme (I think you are also a fan, so you'll know what I mean).

If you're a fan also which was your favourite series? For me season three raised the already very high standard to a whole new level!

Top of the Pops from 1981 is on BBC Four at the moment. They just showed The Cure "playing" Primary which took me right back to my school days.............

Aww that's a tough question @longk - I'm going to have to bottle it and say they are all excellent. I loved 1 and 2 and was heartbroken when Martin left, I still miss him. And was quite sad at the ending really, though of course Saga was completely in character to shop him. Grrrrrrrrrrrrr. I think 3 was a great extension of the first two. So often series are extended beyond their sell-by date but not this one, they really did develop the characters well and introduced some new interesting ones. Still miss Martin though.

I don't watch a lot of TV but this was top quality. There are rumours of series 4 I think. In any case I got 1-3 on DVD for my birthday so will savour that at a later date.

Have you been watching Trapped? I am really enjoying that too. Again some really interesting and sympathetic characters and a good theme. (Have Spin recorded as well as Deutchland 83. Oh and Spiral (Laure and Gilou aaaah). So plenty to binge on in big chunks).

Oops gone completely off topic sorry, perhaps we should start a Noir Corner.

                  GG

Kim Bodnia is a class actor. Have you seen a film called Pusher which was made in the nineties. It's sort of Trainspotting meets The Long Good Friday.

It was a no brainer for her.

What was so great about 3 was the way that Saga started to discover her emotional needs and accept them. Those few seconds after the train in the final episode were just WOW!

Me neither but I have to agree.
Line of Duty 2 was good, Ashes to Ashes was fantastic and The Shadowline was world class.

                  Got it recorded.

Good but I couldn't get excited enough to record it. Homeland on the other hand just gets better.

                  Over to you!
