                I see that at our local cinema there's a new film out called "If Beale Street Could Talk!" It brought back to mind the song, of the same name, that I really like.

                The song was originally called Beale Street Blues and written by W.C. Handy in 1917. In the late 1950's they made a famous film called St Louis Blues and Nat King Cole played W.C. Handy in the film. Here's Ella Fitzgerald doing a really good version of the song.

                        I've watched all the series of "Cold Case." (several times) The close out recording is always one that is contemporary with the year of the case.

                        This is one of my favourite episodes about a transexual who commits suicide as she thinks her teenager lover was rejecting her, but his father prevented him from seeing her.

                        I've got this single by David Gates in one of my jukeboxes. I played today whilst I was in the garden.




                        This is another favourite episode. About about the WASPS in WWll. The women wo delivered planes from the factories to the airbases in the USA.
                        One of them sabotaged another's plane.
                        This is "the liltin' Miss (Martha) Tilton." As she was known.
