@Freddy , l was never really into King Crimson back in the day , however listening to your You Tube track , l can see the greatness.
I was a late 50s baby , so cut my teeth on the pop and glam rock of Slade , Sweet , Mud etc.
Then l started playing guitar and got seriously into Folk music , John Martyn , Pentangle , Bert Jansch , etc.
My best friends older brother had an amazing vinyl LP collection , and through him l got into
Rock , Iron Butterfly , Black Sabbath , Deep Purple , Led Zep etc.
l still think Made in Japan is one of the greatest live albums ever , along with Rory Gallagher
    Irish Tour.
Have a listen to Suede , Bernard Butler is an amazing guitarist.
And l do agree , Pulp are about the only Brit-pop band worth listening to now.
( l was introduced to many great tracks through listening to Anne Nightingale on Radio 1 ! )

I'm a big fan of Stuart Lee!

He's very Marmite and I'm in the like camp. Extras was hilarious - getting guest stars to take the mick out of themselves was a delight to behold.

@Kelc Kate is probably my favourite female solo artist of all time, I'm obsessed with almost everything she has ever released except The Red Shoes. I loved buying her back catalogue a few years ago, such a musical revelation! A lot of her earlier songs were written when she was in her mid-teens, it amazed me to learn that considering their musical and lyrical maturity!

I can remember first hearing Wuthering Heights on the radio while l was working in a local plant nurseries, pricking out seedlings in the greenhouse. It blew me away , incredibly original .
KB was 18 when she wrote it , and she shares her birthday with Emily Brontë , who wrote the book.

Yes, The Kick Inside is absolutely amazing, but she even released what I consider one of her best, Aerial, as recently as 2005! :) It's a stunningly diverse work, musically.
