When these was singing in their youth @Sheal i was 17yrs old at the time

 

Hoagy Carmichael is my favourite composer of what have become "jazz standards."

I guess Sinatra's version of Stardust is the most well known.

In the era when adults had pianos in their homes, some young kids were taught the piano and this written by him was often the party trick played by a pair, one playing the refrain and the other the accompaniment.


Bea Wain, what a voice, I don't care if it sounds dated. She only died last year, at the grand old age of 100.

Bea Wain at 66. She still had the voice.
