Has anyone ever used these and are they any good?

There are some for sale on Ebay as well as Amazon, was going to try maybe
the smaller ones.......someone on a Acer forum uses them with very good results.

Never seen these before, I'm guessing it's a form of air layering?

Yes Pete...your correct Air Layering, they have a video as well, I was going to try it on
a small orange tree, I have tried cuttings from the orange tree before and all have failed..also
if this works, then you might get some fruit next year......so far I have managed to
to get a couple of small plants from some orange seeds but it could be 15 years before
      that grows any fruit :(

I've grown many an orange plant from seed, got a few that are pretty old, never had one flower as yet.
I seem to remember that some citrus root from cuttings and others don't, so those ones are usually grafted, but air layering might do the trick I guess.
I have airlayered a few plants, but mostly rubber plants, using the old style method of a plastic bag.
