The Felco folding pruning saw is a super bit of kit too :)

I also usually end up over straining secateurs, but My old Sandvick pair are still going strong. I've never owned anything by Felco, although I do know they say they are the best.

I came across these the other day DP1031 Expert Rotating Handle Pruner – Darlac Ltd
So bought a pair to try out.

All parts, likely to wear, are replaceable, similar to Felco, but in my reasoning that turns them into something similar to Trigger's Broom.

Time will tell, I've tried them out for a while but cant get on with the fiddly lock, just in the wrong place and too small.

To wit to woo. So as they say in the madhouse. The Ayes to the right and the No's to the left. Great that we all agree. I have two pair....only one holster. My first pair I got early sixties, then whilst working for MOD, I decided it time they coughed up and bought me a new pair. So I still have both pair.

Felco were at one time guaranteed for life, then as always. All good things come to an end. Now servicing/repairs you are charged. Recently I paid £28 for two new replacement blades. Well worth the cost. IMO they always feel as if they are tailor made, just for me. I'm sure both pair will see me out.

They look identical to the Felco 7! Sometimes, the tension on the screw holding the lock in place needs a tiny adjustment. It makes all the difference!

I tried out the 7's with rotating handle but really didn't get on with them, I found the 8 much more comfortable
