Five years in the making

    This plant is a Puya mirabilis I purchased one seed off e-bay 5 yrs ago it came as a tiny spec in a plastic tube it was so small I didn't know if I had planted it,here it is flowering for the first time.

    I guess my Puya (one of your pups) is a few years behind yours.

    My Fasicularia is showing colour at last and should flower this year.

    Power to the Bromeliads.:)

    Strongy not sure which Puya pup you had could it have been Chilensis (the really vicious one) I have 2 of these and was hoping they would flower this year but I doubt it now,hope your Fascicularia makes flower it should be something special.:thumb:

    Chilensis, the extremely vicious one.
    It has pups of it's own but it won't let me near it without shredding flesh.:D

    Wow it's big and great! [FONT=Arial,Helvetica][SIZE=-1]Puya mirabilis does best in full sun to light shade with a well drained soil mix and it grow well too in a temperature below zero. Nice choice! :yho:
