Not that surprising bearing in mind the recent cold snap! I know you get it worse, but we're not used to this:gaah:

While out tidying borders yesterday I noticed all that new growth had been wiped out by the cold weather, but stems are still green and I could see a few shoots around one at the base.
Hoping i haven`t lost any with this awful cold weather, all my greenhouse overwinterers are going along well.

PANIC. My new fuchsia's are not doing to well. Looks like I have to bring them in at night from the cold greenhouse until they grow a bit and harden off.:hate-shocked:

Woh is us with no heating or hot water again.

Heating back on and still no hot water. The fuchsia's will have to take their chances, as long as at least one on each survives, then all will be well as I can take cuttings.

Find the warmest room and hopefully, this weekend they will benefit from a drop of sun. It'll cheer me up if it comes to pass Landimad so I expect it will do so for those Fuchsias,

They will cook on either side of the house as we have an east west aspect. Still one good thing is that the weather is due to pick up.:dancy:

My Fuchsias have arrived, real beauties 23 different named varieties,,:dancy:
from this firm http://www.justfuchsias.co.uk/ had several email conversations, very helpful, very quick delivery.
I originally ordered 2 lots of 3 on ebay, I was asking about p&p, then said i was interested in a variety of Fuchsias, so he has sent me a lovely selection, I am away to pot them up.:snork:

Can we say that even if defoliated in the cold winter, Fuchsia thalia can return? that's what mine is doing currently, but it hasn't been through the frost... it's just been cold.
