Seen on plant world seeds , some of the tiny dust like seeds have had fullers earth added to them, maybe this can be used with most seeds to give them a good start.

    What do you think ??

Fullers earth is used to dilute the small seeds so they are better spread out on the potting compounds. Sand can be used as well. Does it have any beneficial effects on seed growth? Not that I'm aware of.

I can remember Fullers Earth being used for some medical problems, such as athletes foot, various sores, boils, the kaolin, kaolite substance being incorporated into a poultice. Wounds were sometimes dusted with FE for cleansing and to stop bleeding.
FE was/is used in cosmetics. Some uses were akin to using sulphur. I recall from early medical studies, that FE had had many beneficial credits attributed. However true some of these may have been, there remained little medical/scientific proof.

It seemed odd on seeing this in the plant world seeds . But both Mike's and Nigels explanation is understandable.
Mikes ,reminds me of :old: an ageing Doctor who was well known for advising the use of Fullers Earth tablets
for almost everything from a sore throat to backache and all else inbetween, maybe this bloke could get relief from a good dose.:rage::confused:.......... Of Fullers!!!!
