Its about lighting, and written by an academy award winning cinematographer.

@Sandy Ground I bet that's very helpful  and have your lights come for you to sort them out?...the lights in our garden come spring pick up all the sun as it's a sun trap here front and back but hits the decking about 2pm :)

Theres no rush whatsoever for the lights. It will be at least another couple of months before I'll be able to get into the garden to put them in place.

Hello @Sandy Ground I brought some new solar batteries and got my hubby to remove them from the fence and the ground...washed the lot and put all new batteries in and Blackpool is alive in February [IMG]

                We've "over-kill" with lights in our garden. I would wouldn't I?
But we rarely turn them on. "The neighbours complain that the electrical load dims the street lights."
6 mains porch lights, two spot lights. 1 PIR spotlight. Two low voltage illuminated Japanese lanterns, two low voltage 30w spotlights, low voltage fairy lights and some solar lights. They are all controlled by four switches behind the lounge curtains. I laid a multi-core armoured cable from under the lounge, under the concrete raft of the patio to the garage before I knew what I was going to do with it.

There's no mains voltage supply to anything on the left-hand side of the garden. The transformers for the low voltage lights are screwed to the tea-house ceiling.

Very nice, Riley, but being an Astronomer I'm not a fan of light pollution as we haven't been able to see the glory of the skies for around 40 years:wallbanging:...............but still, very nice.:snorky:

We're in Manchester, "so the problem rarely arises," as it's usually raining.

@ARMANDII you should pay a visit here then....plenty things to be seen in the night sky. I'm still wondering what the two lights that are due south of me are, and visible all year round when the sky is clear...

I was talking to some friends last night who'd just returned from just outside Ludlow in Shropshire and they'd been amazed at the fact that they could see the Milky Way and millions of Stars. They hadn't realised until then that there were so many skies and what they'd been missing.:snorky:
