I have a few aspirations this year but I'm not telling as I'm bound to fall flat on my face with most of them :heehee:

@Sheal we have a metal shed and they're lethal to put together ...if you decide a wooden one then it would be cheaper to do one in decking, as my hubby as done two in it and it works out cheaper.

You've got some lovely land there and like your tree roots...we have them bad here from the conifers :)

Invasive weeds Our Mandy, invasive weeds. That is one war that I do appear to have won.
I also dislike Primroses, especially ones that are not yellow. I thought that I had them whooped but I was deluding myself :wallbanging: So that is one aspiration I'll tell you about - get rid of all the Primroses this year once and for all :fingers crossed:

Decking! :runforhills: No offence meant @Gail_68 but this is a rural garden and decking or anything made from it would be way out of place. Gardening and buildings have to be sympathetic to the natural aspect of the area.

Below...my bungalow is in the middle of the picture, the house slightly to it's left is no where near my home and not visible, in fact I've never seen it but it looks close on this long range shot.

I had a lot of polyanthus once. They flowered amazingly well for many years. I'm not sure what happened to them. They must have died off. I haven't seen them for a long while. Next spring I might think about some more or something similar.

I'm looking at spring flowers in bloom now so that I can plan for next year. By then there will be plenty of places in the garden that will benefit from them.

I seem to recall that over winter there were primroses etc being sold off cheap in garden centres and supermarkets. I'll keep an eye out next time round.

                            G.
