Thank you. I have the feeling, too. Dante Gabriel Rossetti's lover was addicted to that. Can't quite recall her name. And in the series, Aiden Turner plays Rossetti. So Elizabeth has become a druggie! Or addicted, to put it mildly..

Just had one of those charity bags put through the letter box and i saw her take one of my gooseberries off the bush. She had gone before i could do anything.

Good morning fellow forumers, how is everyone doing?

A bit of a grey start here too @alp , but as you say it's good for the plants.....so won't grumble....too much!!

Have a few of our bargain plants to plant out this morning. Then we are catching up with some friends this afternoon, but stopping off at Ikea first for coffee and cake ..love sitting in their restaurant looking out over Southampton Waters and watching the comings and goings of all the cruise liners.

Our eldest is 32 today!!!........how did that happen so quickly.....where oh where do the years go......soooo loved their childhood years! Mischief making but full of happiness!

Wishing you all a Trouble free Tuesday:)

          Morning folks :)
Happy birthday to your 32 year old Upsy :rasp:
Went to the beach earlier......misty and warm and the sun is beginning to make an appearance. Got some hot weather on the way
Powerful scent wafting over the garden this morning......the Lilium Regale I think; got quite a few scattered about.
Will be transplanting a dwarf kniphofia (Vanilla Popsickle) .....lovely plant but clashing with a pink Gaura
As I write this the sun has burst through

I only want to be a granma and I don't care how old my son is! Joking only. But I do want to be a granma. The first thing I will do is to take the baby to the garden.

Happy Birthday to Mr upsy Junior. Mine will have his in August.

The first time my tree lilies have flowered, for the time being 2 big red ones. Hopefully, there will be the white one following soon. Sun is already out.. Mama mia, I want to hide.

Yes, @Verdun the perfumes are just out of this world...

While exploring memory lane....and thinking of @Verdun down in lovely Cornwall, I'm taken back to our lovely family hols camping with friends( who had the luxury of their own static van!) down at Polzeath.....lovely times . The beach is huge when the tide is out and we use to go rock pool exploring.Brilliant for surfing too....not that I attempted that!
Hubs and I went back there a couple of years ago and this time we were able to do lots of the cliff top walks as the kids were more beach babies back then .
You are certainly very lucky to have such stunning surroundings @Verdun .
Keep saying I would love to move to the area ,but family ties are all up this way on the south coast...esp my dad!

So what pressies have you got for your boy, @Upsydaisy

I love Cornwall and Devon. Had a lovely stay in Wadebridge. But the journeys were often long and full of congestions. Went to Land's End, Rowena Cade's Minnack theatre which overlooked a series of lovely and deserted beaches. All good memories, apart from the exotic plant place ..

Lots of lovely gardens there as well.. They are all called Tre??? Wonder what it means!

Now they are older we don't usually do presents as such , unless there is a particular thing they want. As family we all tend to buy for the children...even at Christmas....as it's all becoming so commercialised now and we much prefer to spend on lovely family ' get togethers'.
Not wanting to sound ungrateful....but I have draws full of gifts that aren't really ' me'!!

Son no.1 is up with his girlfriend at the moment but will be back this way later in the week, next wk end son no.3 will be down too and as it's his birthday in a couple of weeks time we will all go out for a meal and celebrate theirs and hubs birthdays.

I have found that memories are made from events not the gifts!.....do I sound mean!....hope not.
