      Bad News:-

Installers turned up and they can't do the job as I need a 'completely' level base.

So now I need to find someone to do that. Apparently it is better to get a landscaper than a builder. Working on it.

Oh no. That is really nasty. Why oh why would they not come in advance to check things out so you could know what needed doing before the installation date! You don't need to do any swearing. I've done it for you with some decidedly unladylike language!

Hope you can get it sorted soon.

Oh, how disappointing, @shiney, when you'd put so much effort into the preps and even chased off a man-flu bug to be ready for the start today.

I had asked them to come and check but they said they had been too busy. So they have wasted at least half a day of their time, maybe a whole day. :noidea:

That's good because I'm well known amongst friends for never swearing.

So have they given you exact measurements?
I assume its a bit of concrete as a footing and a couple of courses of bricks?
Did they say what they needed, I would have thought it would have been an option as part of the installation.

Or do they want a concrete pad to sit it on.
Personally I'd want it raised slightly above ground level.

The installer I had recommended by the Greenhouse People to put up my Hercules one did all the footings to cope with my sloping land - dug out the foundation, put up supporting boards, laid concrete, and then put up the greenhouse. And came back because he wasn't happy with my rainwater gutters (I hadn't noticed). It's just the luck of the draw.
