      I can't comment about winter Jasmine.

      "Normal" summer jasmine though, mine grew over 6ft in its first year. Trouble is it wasn't very bushy. It just sent one or two stems straight up. It didn't really fill out much, and took about 3 years before it produced any significant number of flowers. That said, mine was in a container that really was too small, so it was probably starving.

      Just a thought, but have you looked at the range of beans that you could grow? I'm only going from pics in books and the internet, but some of them are very decorative, and will give lots of cover very quickly, giving time for the perennial climbers to fill out a bit.

        Too scary for me to think about Folly Mon. Just Google it but only in the daytime. Close all windows and doors first....

          Sorted out and planted some beans and sweet pea holding to cover the one side this season :cool:
