I only give mine a chop after they have finished their Spring flush; that way, they give a second flush later in the season - which just happens to be right now in my area

One of mine doesn't completely die back over winter; the other one I have (from Shineyland) does. Which type do you have woo?

No. Never have, never will chop them after they finish their Spring Flush. your missing out on a wonderful effect from them . Mine stay up nice, and mound and in the fall the leaves change slowly to a lovely tint of red, then as the snow its around, they do not die down at all, but stay looking good peaking through the snow.

Good morning @"M" my friend well I don't really know,as I got them from an elderly gentleman when I knocked at his door and asked if he wanted his front garden full of hardy geraniums thinned out and he said I could take as many as I wanted,so kind of him,all I know is that they have a small pink flower:smile:

ps I did want blue ones (Rozanne/Johnson's blue)but they were so expensive as plug plants so I decided to ask this gentleman when I walked past his garden:smile:

They will vary considerably in their vigour, spread and flowering WO. Next summer you will prob be able to identify them :)
Here they range from 2.5 metres wide (rozanne and Ann Folkhard) to small mounds (black beauty) :rasp:
