At the end of garden we have a very steep bank that goes down to the beach. Over the years we have had landslides and it is now too dangerous to get down there. Near the top there are lots of wild buddleias which are blocking the view. Our long handled hedge trimmer is not quite long enough to get at them. Ideas please.

Sadly no replies but we have an idea. We have rope so thinking if we buy a grappling hook and throw it at bushes with a bit of luck we may break bushes etc.

If there are a lot of thick stems, you might be better off asking a local climbing group if they could set up a rope and get them to cut the plants while safely attached. Or tree surgeon?

Thank you for replies. Luckily were speaking with a neighbour who has an extendable cutter which is used for removing branches from electric/telephone wires.
