" so I put 3 orders in in order to get more of the above (lets hope it works...)"

Gotcha. Had a lengthy barnie with a client who had a "Buy 10 get cheapest free" type deal on a system we built for them. If you bought 20 they wanted to give the two cheapest free, and I was of the view that they could give the 10th-most-expensive and the 20-th (i.e. cheapest of 20 ) most expensive free.

Becomes slight more important when you buy, say, 29 items.

My view was if you were stood at the checkout and got their deal you would say "Well in that case here's my first order for 10 ... and my second order ..." so why not build the software that way too.

We have another customer who has voucher codes that allow purchase discounts. He doesn't give a stuff if they get published on the Internet, he's happy to sell at that price, wants customers, wants business, wants them to be happy. (In fact his voucher codes are mainly to spread the pre-Christmas sales by encouraging existing customers to order early ... and to encourage sales during slack periods)

Sorry, rambling on ... I'll get my coat now ...

There Gorgeous, Should Take you a week to plant all of them :) just a little tip for you, if you can't work out what way some of the bulbs go in, plant them sideways, they'll find there way..

How do you normally work out which way up you plant a bulb? (told you I'm clueless)

I was going to put compost at the bottom of each bulb hole to help drainage, is there any particular compost to use or will a general one be OK? (or would sand be better?)

More pointy bit upwards. Only exception I can thing of is begonia tubers.

I would use sand, rather than compost. And the right sort too (I think that is Silver / Sharp, but I'm not sure)

When i first started gardening i bought about 100 mixed Perrenials! when they came i couldn't tell which was the roots and which was the top, some looked the same both ways, needless to say about half didn't show, Ive since learned that if your not sure plant sideways..

Eremurus can be a bit tricky deciding what way up to plant them too!

I rang them up today to see when the order may arrive and they said the wharehouse was very busy now and could be 2-3 weeks, to be fair it does say can take upto 28 days to deliver but I was expecting it within a few days to a week to be honest and now I'm considering cancelling the order as maybe it will be too late to plant the bulbs (mid-december?) and I think some of them should have been planted much earlier..
