Dai My arms are not long enough to reach the other side of the glazing, and you need to apply pressure to force the strips in anyway
You can only just get the strips in when you have thumb under the frame and fingers over the frame snapping into place you just can not do that after the second panel is in

They do have a free phone help line, so I will give them a call just to see what they say
I would be very interested, as I find it impossible to do

Oh Jack! It seems it's not only the bees that are fighting back, but the greenhouse aswell. It took my son and I six days to complete mine, so there's hope for you yet!

Bi-carbonate of soda mixed into a paste with water and used as a poultice works for the stings. It draws it out. :)

I am a bit disapointed the moment
I can usually do what I set out to do, DETERMINED
I reckonded I could do it in three 36hr weekends
I did not reckon on the weather and PALRAM or the Bees

Still having calmed down, stopped until next weekend, to relax a bit and let the bee stings settle I reckon I have not done too badly in all

I will give the bi-carbonate a go as I do not have any creams available just now

      Regards
      Jack McHammocklashing

Jack, if you work from inside the greenhouse you are stretching only 2 snd a bit feet, as opposed to 4 and a bit feet from outside. Joolz, you leave the screws slack until you`ve positioned the glazing panels in the 4 lower corners of the roof until they are sitting perfectly. Once they are you, can tighten all the bolts then glaze the building.

Surely, if you use a bit of pressure they will " click " into place?

but that wasnt what the instrustions said x,its a treetreetreetree design and even if the frame was lead n set solid u stil wouldnt be able to get all them sealing strips in..our thumbs were numb form tryin(even with the tool they supplied) .we just couldnt get them to press in xx :cry3: so trimming them to about 5inch peices and putting bits in then sealing the rest was our only option xx

Laid off, going for the kill on Saturday
      Palram help line
You use a ladder and pop up through the airvent pane to snap the last panes in place
Yeah right if you have arms like a gorrilla
Going the no nails route myself

I hope you`ve both lodged a complaint with the manufacturer because self erecting a greenhouse should not be that difficult. Also tell them you want a £10 gardening voucher as compensation.:dbgrtmb:

I really think you should complain, if those fixing strips are so difficult to install, then they constitute a danger. If you slip while forcing them into place, then your hand could go through the glass causing you serious damage. If the company ignores your complaint then ask your local trading standards officer ( or the equivilent in Scotland ) to look into it.:dbgrtmb:
