Hope this isn't blight

    what do you think these potatoes have? They smell horrible. They were part of the t and m super season of spuds, I found them among the others which were chitting and which I've planted. I contacted t and m who just sent me a voucher without requesting a return of the tubers or suggesting what the problem is. I'm a bit worried that all my spuds are contaminated. image.jpeg

    No, I'd not be that bothered, just a couple have rotted, I tend to think blight would have rotted the whole lot ages ago.

    Hi Ariadae,

    I'm no expert here but to me they look like they've been in the packaging too long and gone mouldy.

    I've just had a quick google and blight is an airborne disease which spreads down the haulm into the tubers.

    This means that you know when you harvest them if they have it.

    I can't really see T&M knowingly selling infected tubers.
