Hi everyone, I've been looking at edging to go around the edge of the concrete under the pergola, the purpose to separate gravel from soil ideally 3" high and not perishable, I've seen some lawn edging made from recycled tyres but it's only 50mm and quite expensive, anyone have any ideas?

A row of block paving on it's side laid on a bed of mortar will cost just over £11, so thats the plan I think.

You can use a Row on its side for a straight run, but thought from your pic you wanted it on a tight curve ? if so, the gaps between blocks might look very big.

A Soldier course might look better ? place the blocks dry to see which looks best before cementing in..

That's something I didn't think about, 4" plus mortar bed is a good height so maybe cut them in half and soldier them, extra work I know but then I can get that curve.
