Hi, I have been lucky and inherited 2 compost bins would someone be kind enough to tell me are these the Dalek type I see written about?

As the gentleman had had a stroke a year before we bought the house and we've been here six months (his wife told me she didn't go down to the bottom as it was a swamp) do I need to do anything to the contents?

    Thanks in advance
    Clarie

Yes Clarie - a nice pair of daleks.
As for what to do with the contents, it all depends on the state of the contents. From what you've written I guess that nothing's been added to the bins for several months so rotting down has possibly ceased. I'd be tempted to empty the bins and dig the compost into your garden. I say dig in because you don't know if there are still any viable weed seeds in the bins and if you just use the stuff as a mulch you risk weeds appearing.
Once you've got the bins empty you can start filling them again and creating your own good compost.
