Perhaps Chitting Kaz would amend that last post of yours, dim, to "have always been known to say it as "I think it is.:heehee::heehee::D

You can get 8 similar size ex-flower buckets from Morrison's for 99p, with absolutely no strings, innuendos, etc. attached.

EDIT: Mrs Scrungee wonders why he doesn't ask for the help he needs from fellow plotters at the allotments who are normally only too willing to offer advice (whether you want it or not).

Yes, Scrungee, Chitting Kaz could, but there'd be no allotment!!:cry3::heehee:

I think we should avoid jumping to conclusions. We haven't met the chap.

Lets consider one possibility other than the most obvious one.

Lets say, this chap feels a tad isolated for whatever reason. Maybe he lives alone, and for whatever reason, doesn't make friends easily. Then he gets chatting to a neighbour (our Kaz) and he enjoys the chat. Maybe he would love to have someone to chat with when he goes to his allotment, especially someone he knows is going to take it (the allotment) seriously. Both parties win. He gets a new friend and the motivation to tackle his allotment, which maybe, if he doesn't know what he's doing, he is daunted by. Kaz gets the growing space.

Of course I might be way off the mark. He may simply be using the most original chat-up technique I've ever heard of. He may be a mad axe murderer (when I was a kid, there was no such thing as psychos or weirdos, just ordinary people and mad axe murderers). That's something Kaz has to work out, being (as far as I know) the only one of us that's actually met the bloke and therefore the only one that stands any chance of accurately assessing the situation.

So really, Chitting Kaz, all you have to do is make sure he's not wearing one of the woolly hats that put's him in the Mad Axeman category.:rolleyespink::rolleyespink::what::WINK1::WINK1::heehee:

                thank you clueless :goodpost:

the OH is home and we have talked it through, we then popped up to see the gent, have had a lovely cuppa and chat, :)
it would appear that others were willing to help up there but they wanted parts of his plot and never seemed that willing to "SHOW" him what to do! :nono:
either side of him have greenhouses and raised beds potting shed etc and he feels like the poor relation,:cry3:
he works shifts and this can cause problems with getting time to go there daily, i too work shifts but there is more chance that they will get watered and weeded with another pair of hands on board :dbgrtmb:

OH is not concerned in anyway, he says i work in strangers houses and i have no idea who will be there, he figures that i am safer on an allotment than i am when i am locked in someone elses home

so i guess only time will tell whether i am a fool or a good judge of character :what:

So can we assume you've won yourself half an allotment?

Good one Kaz!! Might as well give it a go. If it doesn't work out you haven't lost much. You should tell him to join GC as well!
