    Hi
Does anyone know what is the name of this plant and is it dead ?

As per the pics most of the leaves are brownish/rustic colour but there are bits of green leaves in places

Is the plant dead or do I need to prune it back to stimulate growth and new shoots

    Thoughts?
    Thanks

Scrape some of the bark off to see if there's any sign of green, my initial thought is it's died.

Is it an Azalea? I think it looks dead too, but as phil said, scrape the bark with your nail and if it's green underneath it's alive, in which case prune it back by half. If not, bin it.

Lavender would look good, smell good and attract bees. :)
