Collecting Nerf bullets today after one of many Nerf battles in the back garden, my eyes had become tuned to seek out anything artificial in the ground. They homed in on a small piece of green plastic, and lo and behold, guess what I found half buried under The Mound.

im the same as @Val.. its mainly gardening scissors with me too, i have a habit of sticking them pointy end down in the soil or looping the handle over a conveniently positioned branch...& thats it, its never seen again! actually no! thats a lie i do find them again usually in the depths of winter when the garden has considerably less foliage to hide them...i do occasionally lose the secateurs too or the odd trowel just to liven things up a bit & keep me on my toes....

i do have gnomes though so it could be them, if so im thankful its only the kind that nick tools & not the kind that creeps around by shadow of night doing all manner of nasty scary things like @wiseowl has to put up with :sofa::runforhills:

          You can never trust gnomes.

They're a bit ageist. If you make it to 102 years old, they wont let you in.

At that age, they might not let you out again.
