The statement of aquisition notably omits whether any liabilities of the old company,be it to trade suppliers, or customers who have outstanding orders paid for but not executed, will be met by the shareholders of the new. This is where payment via credit card rather than debit card gives greater protection to consumers. We will await clarification and more news as it becomes clear.

@AnniD To be truthful, I think I shall be giving Sarah Raven a wide berth from now on. I'm okay with people making a mistake as long as it's dealt with satisfactorily which it wasn't entirely. I was begrudgingly going to overlook it but when the Apricotta cosmos started flowering, it turned out they weren't Apricotta but some variety of bright pink cosmos. They issued a refund with no quibble but I'm still hacked off with them. Terrible customer service in the first instance and the wrong plants being sent out due to mislabelling in another, is too far for me. I'm not confident that if they make a mistake, they'll deal with it in a timely fashion with the least amount of inconvenience. This completely screwed up what I'd been planning since December. I don't know whether their business issues were a factor but restructuring and streamlining screams red flag to me.

I haven't ordered anything from them for a while @fairygirl , but I'd seen comments on here and elsewhere about poor customer service etc etc.
It will be interesting to see what effect this restructure has (if any), particularly in terms of customer service and the reputation of Sarah Raven "the brand".

I had an alert for this thread, but I haven't grown cosmos for years, so was wondering...
        I think you meant @Februarysgirl @AnniD :)
