I've used the Neudorff pellets too but didn't find them as effective as @Snorky85. Tried nematodes last year and that seemed to work very well, but not sure if the weather helped with that too! Going to give them another try this year though. I'm very wary about what I put down as the hens free range a lot through the summer; unfortunately I can't seem to be able to persuade them to eat the slugs themselves :rolleyespink:

Nematodes work pretty well 2nd bassoon but only on slugs, small to medium at that!!! Using them at correct time though is essential

Neodorff did not work at all for me. I discontinued use for 2 reasons....ineffective and toxicity I felt. I would not use it in veg patch or around any form of edibles. The only safe and effective treatment for slugs n snails is to make a regular night time visit with torch, container and salt solution. :)

I think jiffy is absolutely right .....most folk overdo the dosage of chemicals. Timing too, esp re slug pellets, with regard to weather conditions is essential, i.e. If rain is imminent, if temp is too cold, etc.

I found the pellets to be so messy and it wasn't very nice watching the pests foaming up. So I turned to Slug Clear, a concentrate liquid. Using this. I am able to spray the whole area, plants pots under the rims of pots and also fence panels. Better coverage against slugs and snails.
