I was going to go down my local DIY/Gardening store i.e. B&Q, Ikea, The Range, B&M, Homebase to buy my first moss pole but can't see any advertised on their websites.

Maybe I'm missing them but all I've found are sellers online such as Amazon, Etsy, eBay and Waitrose.

Waitrose's is 1.2m @ £14.99 and that seems to be the cheapest or rather best value.

Does anyone know where I can buy them in-store? I'm in Hornchurch, RM12 myself.

    Thanks.

Okay, I think that confirms it's not just me!
Thanks for the DIY I link, I saw that but wondered where I can get some of the materials and whether it would turn out cheaper than the Waitrose one.

      Thanks again.

Hmm true..especially if you only require one pole.

You could always start your own little sideline ;)

Back in the day, I'm only 61 1/2 years old for flips sake!
A few years ago(better), I used to make my own with some pvc waste pipe...1 1/4" or 1 1/2" and some old, dark woolly jumpers.. Pipe from diy stores, old jumpers from jumble sales, car boots or charity shops. Cut the jumpers in a continual 1" strip and wrap it round the pipe. I soaked the strips in a pva/water mix but garden twine wrapped round works as well.
I remember reading about wrapping rope around, like a cat scratching post but never tried it. You could colour the rope with food dye I suppose.

I don't need a moss pole but have a garden full of moss. I reckon I could fill a skip with it! :rolleyespink:

Yes, some still use pipes as seen on YouTube...not sure about woolly jumpers though! Although, sounds perfectly logical especially during the days when we weren't so much a throw-away-society.

              Thanks for the idea.

Got a similar issue, especially on my roofs, can't go out of my french doors into the garden without getting hit on the head or attacked by moss.

It's the moss on my lawn that's the constant battle around now.
