    Hi everyone!

I have a mulbery in my new garden that, apparently, doesn't grow up... I thought that the bendy shape comes from forced shaping. However, I see that all new branches go up and them immediately down. Meaning that my tree is not going to grow above 1.2-1.3 meters that it is now. I want it to be about 2.5, and shape as weeping umbrella from there.

I am considering cutting all branches in the late autumn and waiting for a new leader that I can support until the desired height is reached.

Am I talking non-sense? Does anyone have tips?

    Thanks.

hi there, not ever having grown one of these myself but, would it be possible to support the branches until the desired shape/ hight is reached before the weeping effect could be allowed perhaps a year later. Canes could be used possibly with string ties to allow for growth.
