Mulch glue

Has anybody had experience with mulch glue. I have several areas of decorative bark chippings that get decimated every time the wind blows. I have seen on YouTube people that apply a glu solution over the top. Does this work? Is it environmentally and pet friendly?

I was thinking about something like that on a small gravel area I have, never liked gravel but it was the easy option, it wont settle though.

 

I thought gravel and glue was called concrete?

 

I was thinking of getting a gallon of water proof PVA and diluting it to a runny consistency and applying it with a watering can.

 

@pete that was the plan I had. The first place I am trying to tidy up is the area where my cat is buried. I have bought a nice planter and a solar light feature to brighten it up. I intend to replace the soil in that area and replace it with bark chippings. I would like to try to keep it neat.

As an alternative you could use gravel or some fake grass.
Whatever you use put some weed membrane under it.

 

Or slate?

 

This is what I ended up with. I had already bought the bark chippings but I wanted to try something heavier. I was planning on buying coloured slate but when I got to the shop I thought the slate would look to dark. That is a fairly dark part of the garden. These white cobbles just happened to be at the front of the shop so I took a gamble.

I'm not sure if I like it or not yet. Originally I was going to buy either a purple or a gold planter. I saw these stone effect ones and I though they looked elegant. It was going to stand on bark chippings. As it stands now it is all very bland.

That to me stands out a lot better. Any comments would be appreciated as always.

I think I’d have gone with slate, against the white planter. I agree, slate is a bit dark, but colours up really well when wet. Just personal choice
