Sorry to see this Ziggy, I agree with wind damage, we have had some really strong gusts recently and as pressure can build up inside it can pop.

What a shame Zig, I hope you can get it sorted without too much cost and effort.

I reckon it is storm damage too. Don't know what its been like down in the west country, but up here we had a proper gale the night before last. One of the local dual carriageways was temporarily closed after a fully grown tree was placed across it.

Oh sorry to see that Ziggy
Definately wind damage, second glass panel blown outwards, you can pop this back in if it is moulded plastic, use a hair dryer to warm it soft not brittle so it does not crack though

Work you could well do without but you WILL fix it

That just sucks bigtime Zig, I'm sorry to read this as it;s a bonny little greenhouse.

I like Dai's idea to silicone the panels back in when you run your repairs and would have sugested that myself. Might be an idea to remove the rest of the panels until your ready to fix it up...save the wind getting inside and blowing anymore out.

    Good luck!

    Steve...:)

    Cheers all,

Like the idea of silicon, give it some rigidity. Will go with the idea of taking all the panels out for now though, can't afford replacements for the broken & missing ones at the moment.

Frame has bent more overnight, been pretty gusty down here.

Thanks for all the support. I will get it polar bear proofed:dbgrtmb:

The frame is bending because the existing panels are acting as a "sail".

I'll have em all off tommorow Dai. Some of the struts have sheared off too.
Didn't have time to do anything to it today, fortunately the wind has dropped now.

Check out freecycle for an old greenhouse frame. You could adapt the straining bars.:dbgrtmb:

        Cheers Dai,

Need something to beef it up for sure.

Straining Bars, hmm, sounds like I could use one of those across the privvy:heehee:

Thinking about that slotted windbreak stuff that nurseries use to slow the wind down too.
