    Hello @Perki

    Thanks for the reply.

The Ceanothus will be planted, one free standing in a corner, hopefully to cover a 6' fence panel each way and the other will be trained against a fence to cover two 6' fence panels.

According to what I found, the Concha will grow to an eventual Height of 3m and a Spread, also of 3m.

So, at 3m the Concha should cover the area of fencing required, and hopefully I will be able to control the Height through careful pruning.

I have been advised by a few nurseries not to try the Skylark again as apparently there can be issues regarding what colour is achieved depending on how the specimen is created, i.e. seed or cuttings from the mother plant, hopefully that makes sense.

    Thanks in advance

    Kevin

      Hello all

      I hope you are well.

Well, I was expecting my Garden Furniture, a five piece Poly Rattan Set, to be delivered today between 07:00 and 10:00, so I got up at 06:30, no small feat for me

Then, just after 08:00 I received an Email from the Delivery Company saying that they would not be able to deliver my Garden Furniture today, since, due to a 'System Error' the items were not loaded on to the Van.

      Not a happy bunny :(

An exhausted one, yes, but not happy....

The delivery has now been rescheduled for tomorrow, hopefully after 09:00, i will receive the 3 hour delivery window later today.

Once I have the Garden Furniture in place I shall be posting images.

It will be nice to have somewhere to sit and relax, hopefully, in the garden.

      Thanks

      Kevin

          Hello @ARMANDII

          That is the plan.

I just got a time range for it, tomorrow between 12:00 and 15:00.

At least I will not need to get up at 06:30 again so that is a plus.

Hopefully, they will remember to put the boxes on the van this time.

          Thanks

          Kevin

            Hello all

            I hope you are well.

I have now got the Garden Furniture unpacked and setup, I may tweak the position slightly as time goes on but I am happy with it at the moment.

            Here it is:

            2020-05-29 14.28.19.jpg

It is nice to finally have somewhere to sit and relax, especially after all the weeding of small clumps of grass in the Borders I seem to be doing a lot of lately, my fingers are still numb.

            Thanks

            Kevin

                Hello @ARMANDII

Thanks, it is amazing how just adding some Garden Furniture on the Patio seems to have tied the whole garden together, it just looks so much better :)

                    Hello @CanadianLori

                    Thanks for the comments.

I am unsure about the Foot Stool (?), I may remove and store it but am undecided at the moment.

The Foot Stool (?) is not something I will ever use so it is essentially just taking up space at the moment.

Actually, you could use the glass table top as an end table for the sofa and the foot stool always does well as a second table simply by placing a tray on it. Or vice versa. Foot stool beside sofa and leave glass top as is.

They do that a lot with hassocks over here. Serving tea? Place the tray on the hassock when there is no other place.

Also handy as an extra seat. Kids love sitting on those too because there is no back and they don't have to worry about sitting back far enough to lean into the back. :)

                        Hello @CanadianLori

                        Thanks for the reply.

The thing is, I live alone and have no one who visits except maybe family, occasionally, very occasionally, so the four seats should be sufficient for my needs.

The main thing I am struggling with at the moment is that, because of the way my mind works, if there are five pieces in the set then my mind tells me I have to utilise all five pieces.

I think my mind has a mind of its own sometimes :)

I have actually brought the Foot Stool (?) in at the moment and it does look better, less cramped, so I will keep it like that for now, I can always utilise it again if the need arises.

                        Thanks

                        Kevin

Would your sense of order deal with using the base of the footstool beside the sofa for a pot stand? Or to place a garden themed ornament?

Looks like the cushion would be the correct size as a replacement for one on the sofa should something nasty happen?

                            Thanks for the reply.

Unfortunately, there is insufficient space to fit the Foot Stool at the end of the Sofa, just out of shot to the right is the shed so putting the Foot Stool there would not work, good idea though.

Also, you are correct regarding the cushion, it is the same size as the seat cushions so I can use that as a spare if something untoward happens.

                            Thanks

                            Kevin

Just caught up with this thread and well done for the work so far!
We went the rattan way a couple of years ago, worth every penny. My problem is, if I sit and enjoy the furniture, I procrastinate......I like to call it planning!
