I had to take the plunge a couple of weeks ago and totally change over to the winter system. This meant moving a number of plants inflower into my greenhouse and shed, and digging up my annuals - Cosmos and Salvia viridis, S splendens and S coccinea, which still had some flower on, to make room to plant out my biennials. I am trying a Brug outside with a fleece jacket on it - but I am not expecting much. I still have three inside.

And I have two plants Salvia elegans (pineapple sage) and Salvia saggitata that have only just started to flower in the last few days. And Salvia leucantha looks almost as good today as it did in August. I put a number of the flowering plants in my house for the warmth, but the light levels are so low that the many are dropping their blooms.

But, going even further off topic, I bought a Kalanchoe tubiflora the other day because it makes me laugh. Its in my kitchen and since I bought it it has grown flower buds which are just about to burst open. PS I have only just had a Google and seen that its called Widow's Thrill. :D
