Nice Little Find

    That is purty Bilbo. It is certainly not a common sycamore. Maples come in many beautiful forms (I personally love the Japanese maples and have over 100 specimens). It is similar to Acer Drumundii. Make sure you remove any leaves that would tend to try to revert to an all green ( a stupid thing to say to someone like yourself but maybe someone else might read this and be reminded :) LOL)

      Here's an update on my original tree that is developing in to a lovely tree :), really like the colour if the new growth :)

        A close up of the intense red new growth which then fades to pink, beautiful :)

          Bilbo, do you think it's worth taking a cutting from the top coloured stems at a later point, It would be interesting to see whether a new sapling would be those shades of pink without the green. :)

          Some will remember me finding this little seedling, well it's still alive and well, still only 5ft tall and this year has produced the most fantastic spring colour with its new growth
