FC, have you ever thought about building building and outdoor clothes drying area? I've been thinking about building some sort of pergola type arrangement, but with polycarbonate or corrugated polythene sheets for a roof so that there is somewhere to dry clothes outside even if its raining as usual.

Funnily enough, I suggested to Mrs C that the greenhouse might be one suitable alternative providing of course that its not to the detriment of any plants. I can't go building too much to be honest, being a rented place; fingers crossed that next summer sees the weather a bit more normal - we'll be able to make use of the whirlygig then.

If you've got roofing felt then the attic is a brilliant drying space if you can get to it easily.

With no roofing felt you get dry clothes, but also dusty ones.

Yep the haybox is like a slow cooker, I use one to cook beans overnight. Boil em up for 10 mins, change the water, bring back to the boil & then put in box (which can be made from any insulating material, not just hay)

Saves on 50 mins extra fuel to cook them.

Oh. The gas ran out today. At least it did it now rather than mid Christmas dinner though.
