              Thanks Irmemac & Upsydaisy,

It took ages in the end because rain meant I had to keep on downing tools. I sealed the pinnacle but the base around the pinnacle is plywood, I should have wood-glued then clamped it. Instead I tried to stick it together with sealant which was a bad mistake, sealant can't cope with wood expanding at that rate. Eventually I did pour wood glue in then screwed the ply together, that seems to have held it, but it was a bodge job. If I had better ladders I'd have probably removed and replaced the pinnacle altogether, but safety first. Main thing is - the little greenhouse is fit to go through another winter now :)

Yes water makes it stick like glue to glass for some reason.

I still reckon that's worth doing even as a precautonary measure. NB By the 'bottom board' I meant the timber at the top of sides/base of roof under lowest edge of roof glazing.

The worst timber is that which the roof plate glass overlays, but there is no way to remove the glass to get at the timber. Because the glass is triangle-shaped, as soon as you pulled it towards you it would fall backwards inside the greenhouse. And it's heavy glass. But there shouldn't be any rain getting under the glass now, the only pane showing a gap on one side, I treated with sealant.

Mind you - do you also mean to seal around all the glass edges? That wouldn't be difficult to do, but it would mean the glass was there forever though.
