    Hi all,

My neighbours garage wall sides on to my garden boundary and faces north east. The soil is sandy. I'd like to plant either a climber or shrubs against it (I have their permission). The situation as it stands is difficult enough but there is also a gas pipe running along there about eighteen inches down and is set in concrete I believe. So I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what I could plant and has roots that aren't to invasive. The only other way I can get round looking at this ugly wall from my lounge window is to go for wall art. I'd prefer plants though.

    Garrya Elliptica might suit.
    Evergreen.
Long white dangly things in winter.
