    Evening all,

Sorry for the multiple questions on here tonight but i really need some help. When i moved into my house last year, there was an established Apricot tree already in but the fruits ruined due to some sort of bugs getting into them.

This year, i was just going down to put some tape around the trunk to stop this, and noticed the tree looks like its starting to die on some branches! You can see the fruit was starting to develop (after flowering a few weeks back) and they are now shriveled up along with the branches/leaves.

You can see on the pics i have attached that by no means is it all of the tree and most of the branches are healthy, but this just looks progressive and worrying, and is targeting different areas of the tree!

Has anyone seen this before or is able to offer any advice?

    Thanks VERY much in advance

Hello GN, it is most likely bacterial canker. Have a look at this link and see if the description fits.Bacterial canker
As it's just affecting some branches, using secateurs or loppers dipped in disinfectant, cut them back to healthy growth. If there's the slightest staining of the interior wood, disinfect the tools again and cut back some more. Then disinfect and dry the tools before using on anything else!
The tree should put on new growth but be vigilant, and be ready to remove any further diseased wood.
