Hi I’ve just joined this group and have a question to ask. I’m moving house soon and have some lovely poppies in my garden and want to take the heads with me so can have the seeds. I think you are meant to leave the poppies to die before collecting the seeds.
Can I pull up the flowers even though they are still green, the petals have all dropped off and let them dry out this way or do they need to be left in the ground to die off properly.
    Many thanks.

Welcome to the forum! Try to let them mature as long as you can before collecting seeds. Worse come to worse, make a note of their name and then you'll know what to order if you have to. :)
