pruning honeysuckle and clematis

    These are growing together in a rampant woody mess. Can I cut them both back now or will this destroy the clematis perhaps I guess should be pruned after spring flowering?

    Kate, the honeysuckle should prune back ok

    The clematis depends on its type, one sort flowers on last seasons growth...so cutting this back might mean no flowers
