    Thanks for that link misterroy.:thumb:

The 2000 F degree flame is also great for igniting damp bonfires.

When I use ours on our gravel paths I have to walk backwards to prevent burning holes in the soles of my boots from the heated stones.

Drinks a lot of paraffin and when on full blast sounds like a jet plane but works out a heck of a lot cheaper than Weedol and is just as effective.

Thats once youve lit it itself though....... the one ive used was ancient and had no lighting instructions therfore it would take about half an hours fussing with rags and a lighter to get it lit

I use a camping gaz, gas blowlamp to get mine going. Takes 5 minutes max. Much better than faffing about with rags.

I use a butane gas gun...but only for the weeds on my drive and close to flower beds where it would be to dangerous to use the strimmer for fear of cutting the plants.

On the edge of borders I hold a piece of plywood in between the grass and the plants. But its great for using on shale paths etc.

I once hired (from the hire shop) a really fierce twin burner flame gun which used calor gaz. Was great for brambles, nettles etc. Stopped them in their tracks for 12 months.

Cost me £8 to hire it (for the weekend) and about the same for the gaz cylinder.....but the area I covered would have cost a fortune in weed killer.:thumb:
