I think it looks bigger in the picture than it actually is.
When I looked at the Canna I thought to myself I usually throw the pieces that size away, when repotting.

Hi , do you think they would live in big " tree " pots permanently ? I have very little growing space, just 3 shallow, narrow borders around lawn.

I’ve been checking Plantagogo regularly since Jan, waiting for them to get stuff in stock. No joy till … today there is a notice up saying their website is down for a major update.

Sounds hopeful! :hapydancsmil: I have my eye on a couple of things! :spinning:

Painting back wall again yesterday. Then got step ladder our and cleaned guttering and downpipe on brick shed and washed the window.

Planted the Echium into a temporary home. It was a chill wind yesterday and I dont have any " gardening " fleeces, so just working in a t-shirt and after an hour or so I'd had enough.

I placed an order on Wednesday @ViewAhead, so before the update. All the Heucheras I wanted were in stock. There's an "Everything in Stock" button which is very useful. The new site looks live now by the way.

I’ve been regularly checking their “in stock” things, but my wish list items weren’t available.

Off for a stroll round their new additions! :dbgrtmb:

@luciusmaximus I guess it depends on the pots! Mine are currently in fairly small ones as they are going into a (yet to be dug out) border. Large pots and regular feed and water should be ok. But that could be hard if we actually have a summer

That’s strange @ViewAhead, I’m able to view and browse their new website. Maybe they are only allowing existing customers access at the moment to test it and see if it falls down . It is much improved :blue thumb:.

Hmm! I'm not sure I like being held in the queue while the regs trot past to browse the shelves. :th scifD36:

Honestly, I shouldn't buy anything. I'm not sure I will be able to manage much in the way of ground level gardening this spring and my long-handled tools are good, but can't completely substitute for bending. Still, a little look round their stock won't hurt ...

I just looked it up and I can get on there, never heard of them before.

For heuchera fans, @pete, though they do sell other perennials as well.

I have several large pots that say they are large enough for small trees and medium shrubs. I had them on Anglesey, too, but not had trees in them as my trees were all in the ground. I've seen even bigger pots for trees. Might be an investment in the future perhaps. I don't pay for the water in NI or council tax as its included in the rates ( £311 for this year ) and there are no water meters.

£311 per yr! :thud: My Council Tax (and, no, I do not live in a 20-bed mansion :th scifD36:) is over £2,000 and my metered water adds about another £260 to that!

It's a lot cheaper to live in NI . I didn't actually know this until I moved here. My electric is £65 a month, but can fluctuate. Oil varies in prices, goes up and down, at moment 300 litres is £175 including vat.
