So these came yesterday and I'm not going to lie, I'm not that impressed as of yet. I know some plants come dormant but as some of them have, they just look like twigs! I've repotted them all so hurry up spring!
On the plus side, my sweet peas and my salvias have all germinated so I'm impressed with that at least

It normal to receive quite small plants when bought in mixes or bought from seed catalogues etc . What did you get in the mix ?

@Andrea Youll They'll be fine you , try and keep the ceanothus in drier / sheltered position now and in future they hate wet feet and cold winds, clay is a problem to, same for the tamarix but they not to bothered about exposure . All the others easy enough and be soon growing away .

9B0F5CF0-C7EC-47B7-8047-3FB1C30D5AE1.jpeg A trip to the local garden centre proved a bit more successful than originally thought, probably due to new stock coming in.
Trying the Wilja tats for the first time, and expanding on the nerines and agas. And, the obligatory god of all black puddings from Stornoway, which like seeds, can work just as well left in the fridge for 4 weeks, before using…other black puddings are available of course..

I like my garden metal art so ordered a Peacock from Amazon Germany on Friday and arrived from Spain on Monday. Sadly it came without it's tail feathers ...
                Peacock2 28 Feb 22.jpg
After a couple of communications with Amazon, they refunded me my money including post and said to keep the item.

                (ignore T'other Half's shadpw )

As it came from Spain, I re-ordered it from Amazon Spain and got it post free to Portugal so it should arrive Monday £8 cheaper. Hopefully it will come with tail feathers. :fingers crossed:

I love your peacock @Victoria ! I had ordered a metal whirligig last year and because Biden shut the border, I couldn't pick it up for 6 months. When I got it home and put it together, it looked pretty but did not spin. It would spin with a light flick of the finger but even a strong wind (50mph) did not make it spin. I just laughed it off because I should have done a better job of checking out the supplier.

But you know, I'm going to have a go at making it work this summer! :blue thumb:

                    Was it like this ...

I almost ordered it but then thought it might be dangerous to the cats.

Sorta like that @Victoria but instead it had coloured metal flowers/leaves.

I would think that cats might take one swipe and because it would "swipe" them back, it would be a one off. And I don't think it would injure an animal. Not strong enough unless you had a gale force wind going.

It came today. T'other Half named them Eunoch and Reginald but I changed it to Eunice and Reginald. I may try painting Eunice's feathers gold/brown.
