Aubrietas are great @Garrett, not only are they beautiful early Spring flowerers but they are particularly loved by Orange Tip butterflies and bee-flies! :dbgrtmb:

First day I've had the motorbike out so of course a round tour of the garden centres :hapfeet: , I restrained myself from rescuing from the sale section a large ish hellebore for a £5 I don't want anymore pinky / white ones . But I did rescue 2 carex everest for £2.50 each I'll pot them in my troughs I did want some new carex just didn't want to pay full price  . I also got 2 baby rex begonia I've want to try them for a while I got Begonia Luxurians and Dark eyes I hoping they will grow in my bedroom but I am unsure if they get enough light . Picked up some potatoes red duke of york and two pots of bacopa .

Assuming you have panniers on your bike @Perki, I would think they looked quite strange poking out the top. :)

Thanks, Shiney. I’ll bear that one in mind. The Fairy Cream is still sitting in the front porch area, and had a bad case of falling off yellowing leaves. I’ve repotted in ericacious, and given it a good dose of iron, and it seems to be doing better. It’ll have to go outside in the next month as navigating past it is now becoming an issue. 50 years for yours……if I get to 50 days, that’ll be a triumph of overachievement proportions.
Like that Black Lily though. Didn’t catch on to that on the pre-purchase Google trawl.

Awaiting a delivery of my new ceanothus Italian skies. My ceanothus var. Repens has started budding and my ceanothus puget blue is coming along nicely. They are all babies so don't expect much happening this year. If they do I'll be pleasantly surprised

That’s a magnificent specimen, Shiney, and looks an ideal small/medium garden option. Certainly well sited for protection, and a good move getting that lady to guard it from unwanted attention.
                  A very nice pic indeed.

Look forward to seeing your pics when they bloom later.
I’ve a ceanothus which scrambles over a short fence and then into our bund hill…it’s several years old now. I love the mass of blue flowers in spring into early summer.

I can't wait to shop them off! You'll all be sick of the sight of my pictures once I have something to show you all :heehee:
I adore ceanothus, a neighbour of mine has a concha tree and it is amazing but my garden isn't big enough

Same thing is £104.99 from Primrose. I remember Primrose, they massively increased their prices when we went into lock down - they still don't look 'competitive' even though lock down has ended.

Out of principle, I wouldn't buy anything off them - even if the prices were reasonable.

                      Rip off...

There are a few steps ‘to nowhere’ next to this area - bird feeder up above.
