    Brexit ?

Would you like some of my seeds, I've got 100, and I don't think I'd miss a few.

I think part of the problem for fuchsia sellers has been the wretched gall mite. Once a plant type becomes very susceptible to a particular problem, it makes it a less reliable product to stock. Impatiens all but disappeared for a decade because of their mildew issues.

That undoubtedly has something to do with it, however the decline in Fuchsia nurseries around here started before the gall mite became prevalent.

Why certain plants are regarded as old fashioned beats me.

Yes brexit, but how come a company in China will send to the UK but one in Germany won't.
That's very kind of you to offer Michael, but I wouldn't want you to make yourself short, they I very small seed if I remember correctly and a bit of a challenge in the early stages.

Because Germany is part of the EU but China isn't? The Chinese will sell anything to anyone!

Well maybe if the UK hadn't started the whole business in the first place, Europe wouldn't be playing tit-for-tat now? Just a thought....;)

I don’t think most of us have got up to warp speed with our horticultural shopping yet this yr. That said, I was rummaging around The Plantsman’s Preference yesterday. The minimum order (£25) and postage (£10 on top) brought me back to reality with a bump though and I have so far resisted their corydalis and miniature ivy offerings.

Got my Thalictrum delavayi (both pink & white cultivars) & Gaura lindheimerii seeds from them last year. Good selection of harder-to-find plants.
