And, as always, although I am sowing a mixture of Delphinium seeds this year, I succumbed to also buying 12 plug plants of Delphinium Blue Jay, White Black Eye, Lavender, Cherry Blossom, Summer Skies, Astolat, Blue Bird, Galahad, Cameliard, Black Knight, Dark Blue with White Bee, and Sky Blue with White Bee.:dunno::doh::heehee:

Agreed, Loki. I intend to place them all in the center of the "walk around" border which is about 18 inches above the paths so they will, hopefully, make a nice feature.:snorky:

Sounds like a fab idea :dbgrtmb:, they are definitely one of my favourite plants. When I worked as a florist I often brought a single stem home ( I have a perfect tall narrow vase) because I couldn't bear to cut them from the garden

                        Nice haul @Perki
Will you grow those in pots, or in the ground? Can't see the name of the variety at the back, but it really is a pretty one :blue thumb:

ETA: Were they all from Lidl?

I start all my dahlia off in pots in the GH, I may plant some in the ground after they grown, but last year I planted nearly all of them in large pots to keep them away from slugs.
The dahlia at the back is - Edge of joy and fascination with dark foliage on the left and seniors hope. I shouldn't be buying more dahlia Ive got enough already but I jsut can help myself :snorky:
