Sun or part shade, what is it actually?

    Every time I read plant descriptions I see 'sun or part shade' or similar vague descriptions.

    Is there anything set in stone or proper guidelines to what that actually means? ie, does part shade imply a minimum or maximum amount of hours of sunshine?

    I've found this, hope it helps, although people may have variations in numbers of hours I would imagine.
