My day lilies have fared very well this year too. I don't have as many varieties as you but they certainly love my garden so I may be seduced into buying more. There is an excellent nursery near us (Woottens) who specialise so I may be visiting again soon. My favourite is Arctic Snow - more cream than white but lovely all the same.

        A few things have done really well this year;

Fuchsia "Jollies Nantes" has bloomed its heart out despite being in a small pot............

        DSC_2723.jpg

Fuchsia procumbens flowered in the first year from seed and has lots of new blooms to come, so I am pleased with these..................

Galtonia candicans have done superbly this year. This first bloomer now stands at two metres, with the other two bulbs catching up rapidly..................

Got sent seeds for Impatiens balfourii at the end of 2011 and they have thrived.............

Another Impatiens that has been a star is I.kilimanjari which has bloomed prolifically since June outdoors in a small pot...............

Another success story has been the Abutilon x hybridum, both of which are blooming in their first year from seed too..................

More seed grown success - Rhodochiton...................

Finally, I got my Brugmansia sanguinea to bloom! This has loved the cooler summer and should be looking superb in about two weeks I reckon..................

I have a couple of other plants in bud that I'm uber excited about, but I'm not going to tempt fate just yet!

Sadly after a good start I've had to neglect my garden over the last few weeks and it's showing! What are doing well at the moment are the very leafy plants more than flowers, hostas are looking great and surprisingly (given the wet weather) have stayed slug free.

What I am observing everywhere is the way Buddlia is taking over the world. It seems to be in every hedge, waste ground or space not in regular cultivation. I hope it isn't the next Japanese Knotweed or Himalayan Balsam.

My Dwarf Lilac has done well this year - so much so it's blooming again (seem to remember it did the same last year).

The Rhodos mostly did well but then they like this sort of weather.

I moved this Azalea from the front border last year and it's absolutely thriving in its pot and has put on lots of new growth (in addition to a bumper crop of blooms we had in spring).

The Wisteria is also going a bit bonkers and looking very healthy.

The roses most certainly aren't doing well because the wet weather is ruining the blooms. However, the houseplant rose I bought and separated into several plants are doing well.

Escallonia Laevis doing well, although hasn't flowered yet (one of them is just producing buds). These were cut down to a few twigs in spring as they had Escallonia black spot.

Some of the Fuchsias have done well - Dollar Princess, Winston Churchill, Annabel, Miss California, etc. Some of them haven't done at all well - Harry Gray hasn't produced anything, nor has Diamond Celebration and Southgate is only just showing some blooms.

Arbutus Unedo is looking very healthy too.

Alien and that seedling is just the best do you know the parents sorry if you have mentioned before its just stunning the colour the shape and the highlight running through the centre of the petal just sets it off so well.

You need to start crossing with all the fab ones you have plus its a bit of fun producing your own special plants.
