@NigelJ - all year round is supposed to be true in theory - though I think the Cyclamen Society only claim 11 months! I grow hederifolium, coum and cilicium outside but intaminatum, cyprium and graecum surely are not hardy enough. Am I getting old (yes!) but it seemed that hederifolium didn't start till much later in the year when I first grew them.

@CarolineL I have africanum, coum and hederifolium outside. The coum and the hederifolium selfseed. The africanum is in a very well drained sunny spot against the side of a greenhouse.
I grow intaminatum in a shallow pan because the flowers are so small it's easier to see on a bench, it is supposed to be frost hardy, but doesn't like hot summers; as I found out last year when I inadvertently "cooked" two thirds of the tubers. Fortunately it seems to come from seed quite well..

Ours usually flower three times a year, April, July and November. This year it has been mixed up and they're starting their third flowering now. Our Cyclamen bed is nearly 50 years old and some of the corms are a good 9" across.

This is the reverse side of the smallest of the anemone Swan series, Elfin Swan. In the breeze this is a delightful thing with the blue backs contrasting with their white faces

I have a White Swan, only little, but it’s flowered all summer long. Love it.
